Napper Tandy's Irish Pub - 4/2

Our first performance at this popular hot-spot could not have been more fun! The band had a blast and from what we were seeing from the stage, we were not alone. Thanks again to both Shirlz Girlz and the Campfire Girls for a strong showing.

We'll be back here on May 8th so mark your calendars, campers. It's going to be another great night with the CFA!

Madison's Martini Bar and Grill - 3/5

This was the 1st time the CFA played here and you can be sure it won't be the last if we have anything to say about it. The place was packed and it rocked till the wee hours of the morning! Fans from as far as North Carolina came by and stayed all night to sing along with the band and try to dance on the world's smallest dance floor and the band had an absolute blast! Thanks to all for coming and keep an eye out for more dates at this fantastic, intimate venue.

Union Station 9/11

Rain forces the band indoors. The crowd starts to gather early. The band starts to set up their equipment, pausing every 9 outs as we all watch Derek Jeter try to break The Iron Man's hit record. Then... it happened. The house music, like a prarie sunset, fades into the night. Microphone checks... last minute tuning adjustments... and the CFA were off and running. From the first notes of Here Comes the Sun to last cymbol crash of I'm Your Captain... the energy was palpable. The gang brought some new tunes to the table including, but not limited to, Steely Dan's Reelin' in the Years and Black Friday and a version of Band on the Run. For 3 sets, the house was rockin and rollin and the band just wants to thank everyone that came down. Trust us when we say we enjoyed it as much as you!

I don't think we ever did get to see Derek break the record, but no one minded.

J.C. Cove 7/26

The rain could not keep the crowd away as the CFA took to the Nautical Mile once again. With the threat of rain looming, the band started on time and got through a set before the weather took a turn. Luckily, tarps were available to cover the equipment and the crowd stayed put in spite of the rain, hoping to get to see some more of the band. It worked out real well actually, thanks to an un-planned wet t-shirt contest. (Dave J from Hicksville won the contest and gets a date with Benny.) Sure enough, the rain cleared long enough for the band to play and the patience of the crowd was rewarded when a friend of the band, John Jembe Ward, sat in and layed down a righteous conga grove.

We want to sincerely thank all of you that stuck through the rain and supported the band. We appreciate it and we'll continue to try to bring you our very best, every time out.

Till next time...
